The ministry of a Lectors is to proclaim God’s Word at Mass. Readers are entrusted with proclaiming the First and Second Readings, the General Intercessions (Petitions), and announcements during the celebration of Mass. Lectors must have good communication skills and must be a Catholic in good standing.
